Q: How much is the total investment needed to become a Spherion® franchisee?
A: Investments vary. The estimated initial start-up requirements range between $100,000 - $168,000 for franchisees. This includes the initial fee, start-up costs and estimated working capital reserves needed.

Q: Does Spherion offer financing?
A: Generally no. Franchisees typically secure their own financing. Most of our franchisees have received funding through local lenders. We can also provide you with a listing of lenders that are staffing industry “friendly.”

Q: Does Spherion offer financing for those with industry experience?
A: Yes. Spherion offers a financing program for those with a minimum of five years of experience in industry sales and/or recruitment.

Q: Will I have a protected territory?
A: Yes. You will operate in a defined, protected territory.

Q: What’s the term of my agreement?
A: The initial term is 10 years with successive five-year renewal periods normally available.

Q: Will I be able to open additional offices?
A: Yes, in appropriate circumstances. Your success–as well as ours–is tied to your growth and profitability. Organic growth can be a great way to achieve that. Over 45 percent of our current franchisees have more than one office. Many markets offer the opportunity for multiple offices, and you also may have the opportunity to purchase additional territory.

Q: What training will I receive as a new franchisee?
A: We have a comprehensive training program all new franchisees must successfully complete through on-site, online and classroom-based training. Training topics covered include all the areas you need, including operations, risk management, sales and marketing. Additionally, we will provide you with ongoing training and support for you and your staff.

Q: What form of continued operational guidance will be provided?
A: You will be assigned an operations director and a market development director who is familiar with all facets of the business. He or she will continue to help you throughout your tenure as a franchisee. In addition, the company offers a variety of resources though the various departments within our Corporate Service Center, our operations call center and our technical help desk. Our Intranet is one of the best in the industry and is full of case studies, presentations and other information with just a few clicks.
