Spherion Staffing Services, in partnership with our client company, is seeking an experienced accounting manager in the St. Augustine area.
The Accounting Manager performs all accounting and customer service related duties for company. The Accounting Manager works closely, as a team, with the A/R and Administrative Assistant, to provide the highest level of customer service.
Duties included but not limited to:
•Responsible for taking incoming calls and emails from owners. Accounting Manager works with clients to resolve issues pertaining to account balances and discrepancies. This can encompass researching lost or misapplied payments, explanation of collection and or abatement charges, etc.
•Responsible for taking incoming calls from vendors regarding payment of services.
Financial Statements/Bank Reconciliations:
•Prepares standard monthly financial packets: to include a Balance Sheet, Income/Expense Statement, A/R Aging Summary, A/P Open Items, Check Register. Accounting Manager is also responsible for the preparation and balancing of backup schedules (i.einsurance payable, accrued expenses payable, prepaid expenses, refundable deposits
•Reconciles the bank accounts, monthly.
•Enters cash receipts received from customers
•Process includes verifying calculations, applying applicable charges to the ledgers, applying payments.
•Enters payables: properly allocating expenses as budgeted, checking math, changing billing name and address on newly acquired accounts. Corresponds with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, copies, payments, etc.
•Scans invoice copies and attaches to vendor histories.
Annual CPA Audits:
•Works in conjunction with the CPA in preparation of the annual compilation, review, or audit. Encompasses furnishing necessary documents (i.e. copies of financials, general ledger, bank statements, account ledgers, vendor invoices, etc.) Also includes answering CPA questions.
Other Miscellaneous Duties:
•File Annual Business Reports online (registration as corporation with State of Florida).
Qualified Candidates must have:
- excellent written and verbal communication
- customer service experience
- strong computer and software literacy, especially Word & Excel
