Experienced Legal Assistant/Paralegal in the area of Estate Planning
The Case Manager plays a critical role in cultivating and maintaining the relationship with the firm clients assigned to them. The CM will develop strong, personal relationship with the clients and may be the first point of contact with the client. Although the role often does require the creation of legal documents and spreadsheets, it is not a secretarial position.
- Meeting with the client and determining the client’s goals and objectives and then designing a solution that is appropriate for that client
- The attorney then communicates that solution to the Case Manager who manages the process from that point forward, making sure the meetings are set, documents are signed, assets are transferred and the invoice presented.
- The attorney is responsible for reviewing the work product generated by the Case Manager and assisting the Case Manager in communicating with the client when the Case Manager determines that attorney-level participation is required. In most situations, an trained and experienced Case Manager will be able to competently answer most client questions.
