Pay Range:                          $18-22/hour DOE

Work Schedule:                  1st Shift with overtime; 3rd Shift with Overtime


General Description:  The welder will form and weld metal parts on a production line, using wire feed and submerged arc welding and rolling/fabrication equipment.






Education: One or Two-year technical school degree preferred


Experience: Three years job experience in a related position preferred

Required Equipment:

  • Steel toed boots (Meta Tarsal Guards preferred)
  • Helmet
  • Welder Leathers
  • Onsite pre-screening welding test will be given

Required Testing:

  • Onsite pre-screening welding test will be given

Basic Skills

  • Accurately utilizes data collection
  • Ensure Customer requirements are met
  • Perform limited setup and machine adjustments
  • Perform operations on some standardized parts and repetitive processes
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Pre-inspects parts
  • Uses measuring devices
  • Applies reusability guidelines
  • Performs paperwork requirements and writes legibly
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Intermediate Skills

  • Setup, adjust, and perform repairs on standardized parts
  • Able to locate, identify and use proper fixtures and or tooling
  • Repair non-standard flaws with limited or no assistance
  • Perform operations on non-standard parts with some assistance
  • High level of work quality (i.e. rework)
  • Locates, identifies and uses proper fixtures and or tooling per job
  • Sets-up, adjusts, and performs operations to finish requirements on standardized parts
  • Support and promote continuous improvement

Advanced Skills

  • Perform operations on all parts
  • Assist in the development of new fixturing
  • Plan and make difficult or new setups with all equipment
  • Develop and write work instructions new products or processes
  • Demonstrate highest level of work quality (i.e. rework)
  • Troubleshoot welding, equipment and operational problems
  • Effectively trains employees
  • Assists co-workers with technical issues/production problems
