Spherion Announces Form 10-K Filing for 2006 and Schedules Annual Stockholders’ Meeting

Fort Lauderdale, Fla., February 23, 2007 — Spherion Corporation (NYSE: SFN) today announced the filing of its annual report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2006. The filing was timely made with the Securities and Exchange Commission on February 23, 2007.

The annual report on Form 10-K, which includes Spherion’s audited consolidated financial statements, is available for viewing and downloading, free of charge, through the Investor Relations section of Spherion’s Web site at www.spherion.com, or through the Securities and Exchange Commission’s electronic data system at www.sec.gov.

Spherion Corporation also announced today that its annual stockholders’ meeting will be held at 8:30 a.m. Eastern time on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at the Spherion corporate headquarters located at 2050 Spectrum Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., 33309. Stockholders of record as of the close of business on March 23, 2007 will be entitled to vote at the meeting.
