Spherion Staffing, a national recruiting and staffing agency is seeking an Entry Level Account Manager for our client in the Los Angeles, CA region. This is an exciting full time, direct hire opportunity! The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience with Sales/Client Management. Must be able to provide training and motivation (including spiffs) for retail sales teams. Must have strong interpersonal, communication and computer skills. Frequent Travel is required.

Summary:

The Account Manager will manage, support and grow a key client base, serving as liaison to client retail stores in an assigned territory, and providing motivation and training to retail sales teams.

Essential Functions:

Manage client account for stability, development revenue and growth.
Oversee and manage strategic client relationships throughout territory.
Serve as point of contact, client/company liaison with retail stores.
Maintain a good understanding of clients and their business strategies.
Identify new sales opportunities in existing account by up-sell, cross-sell.
Provide retail sales team training and motivational support including spiffs.
Perform strategy, forecasting, budgeting and administrative tasks.
Give presentations; promote new products and services.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Business or a relevant discipline preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience with sales and/or managing clients.
Excellent understanding of client care and strong customer service skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to relate to a wide range of people.
Professional level communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to independently generate ideas and solve problems.
Strong ability to prioritize, organize and meet deadlines.
Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Office proficient.
Ability to train and motivate retail sales teams.
Frequent travel is required.
