Job Description

Position Summary:
Gather documentation, enter accounting transactions, maintain accounting records, prepare reports, file documents, and provide backup for other accounting functions and assist Accounting Manager in various other accounting activities

Results Statement:
Help facilitate effective decision-making capability through accurate, consistent, timely handling of company data

Position Responsibilities:
1.-Prepare sub-contracted data and reports
2.-Provide backup support in entering daily timecards
3.-Update and maintain SIC and NAICS codes in ERP system
4.-Update purchase requisition spreadsheet for capital reconciliation
5.-Gather and file documentation for Capital Equipment Return.
6.-Update and maintain computer hardware and software data and reconcile with capital asset inventory
7.-Gather and maintain data for capital asset inventory including office equipment, computers, software, tools and manufacturing equipment
8.-Assist in conducting inventory audit and calculate depreciation schedule
9.-Assist in gathering and updating KSI and gross margin summary reports each month
10.-Assist in gathering, entering and finalizing quarterly detail management reports
11.-Assist in preparation of Direct-Indirect Labor Reports
12.-Assist with auditing customers and vendors on a bi-annual basis
13.-Assist in maintaining overall integrity of the accounting files
14.-Assist with helping to automate processes within the Accounting Dept.
15.-Help troubleshoot cost problems and posting errors, and post appropriate adjustments.
16.-Provide backup support in Accounts Payable when necessary:
a.-Match receivers to packing slips
b.-Match invoices with receivers
c.-Pull, stamp, and file invoices approved for weekly payment
17.-Help with other accounting responsibilities as assigned

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Qualifications: (Entry level education, experience, and capabilities for acceptable candidates)
1. High school or equivalent
2. 2 Year Degree in Accounting or equivalent coursework and experience in accounting

1. At least 2 years of experience working with general accounting information using a computer in an office setting.
2. Considerable experience with Microsoft Office software Excel, Outlook, and Word.

a. Excellent numerical handling skills
b. Excellent computer skills
c. Excellent skills utilizing accounting software
d. Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets and compiling data
e. Proficiency MS Outlook and Word
f. Good attention to detail
g. Ability to stay focused
h. Work is orderly and neat
2. Physical Requirements:
a. Must be able to reach and move about work space freely and quickly.
