Job Description

Spherion Staffing of the Nature Coast is looking for an experienced Accounting/Administrative Clerk for a leading manufacturer in Brooksville, Florida! The ideal candidate will be able to perform routine accounting activities such as preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports and accounts payable or receivable functions, has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within the particular field, and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.

Job Duties:
Responds to incoming telephone calls with exceptional courtesy as best suited to be the initial contact with the company and directing to appropriate personnel, provides customer with service information to assist them.
Data processing; enters and verifies a variety of data including orders.
Performs clerical and administrative support duties for all departments.
Serves as backup to support various functions of operations as needed.
Prepares outgoing mail and packages to be shipped.
Daily travel to the post office for mail P/U & deliver the mail daily.
Process Accounts Payable invoices and match receipts, categorize each line item
Additional duties include filing, order processing, maintaining all company files, opening/sorting incoming mail, posting daily payments, etc.
Other duties may be assigned as needed for the benefit of the company at the discretion of the President or designated employee.

Working hours: Monday-Friday 8-5

Ability to utilize a MRP System, Windows programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet applications, Access, Adobe Acrobat and other software applications as assigned.
Requires a minimum of an Associate (2yr) degree in Accounting or Business Administration or its equivalent with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
The President and or designee can determine whether education and training are "equivalent" based on his/her experience.
Ability to fill out required paperwork.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, roots and powers.
Ability to interpret, prioritize and manage proficiently a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to work alone and provide self-motivation.
