Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for:
1. Performs accounting duties for all restaurant entities including journal entries, intercompany reconciliations, invoicing, reporting, budgeting and financial statement preparation.
2. The timely processing of weekly paperwork from the restaurants including processing the weekly invoice registers and coinciding check run, preparation and mailing of payroll, researching payable issues and Docuware filing.
3. Providing back-up for the Accounts Payable Specialist, including processing of invoices and payments when needed.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs the following duties for all entities:

1. Process the weekly paperwork from the restaurants
2. Prepare and mail checks
3. Research payable discrepancies and vendor inquiries
4. Prepare payroll for distribution
5. Prepare journal entries for intercompany transactions
6. Process invoices and payments when needed
7. Recording of loan activity
8. Invoice franchisees for monthly royalties
9. Upload and maintain budget information in secondary systems and reports
10. Prepare and analyze weekly, period and quarterly reports
11. Prepare and distribute statements for all restaurant entities
12. Analyze operating activities to assist Controller in identifying and evaluating restaurant activities
13. Perform other duties as assigned

Working hours: full time

Skills:
1.-Ability to perform as a team member and to support the Plamondon Companies? policies.
2.-Complete tasks and assignments according to internal and external requirements/timeframes.
3.-Respond promptly to internal staff and external entities regarding payroll issues.
4.-Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing the Companies? payroll and general ledger software and computer system.
5.-Exhibit a proactive, positive service attitude and sense of teamwork in the performance of the job.
6.-Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and proprietary control of personnel information.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

1.-An accounting degree and two years work experience in an office or accounting environment.
2.-Communicate with associates, vendors and government agencies in a timely and professional manner.
3.-Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
4.-Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions.
5.-Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
6.-Provide exceptional customer service and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
7.-Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; experience working with complex financial management software is desired (such as SAGE 100 and ADP).
