Job Description

Spherion is now seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant! The primary responsibility of the administrative assistant is to provide support to all team members within the facility. The day to day function for this position is conducted in collaboration with the other departments within the establishment and any needs they may have. This position will work alongside the Director to plan, coordinate, and execute the administrative responsibilities necessary to support the ongoing business.

Position is full time, receiving anywhere from 35-40 hours weekly. Standard working hours will be from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Monday thru Friday. Additional hours and weekends may be required as necessary depending on event schedules. Benefits in position once permanent will include 9 paid holidays. After one year in permanent position, one week paid vacation and 401K are available.

Responsibilities:
- Perform general administrative and other tasks as requested
- Work constructively and creatively as part of a team
- Process all incoming inquiries promptly, ensuring all phone, email, postal mail, etc. is handled correctly
- Maintain filing system, both paper and electronic
- Organize and maintain office environment in a way that provides efficiency to all members of staff
- Maintain and track inventory and supplies such as office goods, event materials, sale items, etc.
- Arrange travel for team members as needed
- Assist in planning and coordination of events including scheduling, travel reservations, arrangement of guest speakers, compilation of materials, etc.
- Perform accurate data entry
- Assist Director in implementing annual fundraising strategies as well as coordination, planning, and implementation of events
- Write letters of inquiry, acknowledgement notes, and other correspondence as necessary
- Maintain and promote highest level of customer service that is client focused
- Performs all other tasks as assigned

Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Proficiency with computers is required
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook
Additional database knowledge is a plus

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Additional education in office administration, business, marketing, etc. is ideal
Experience will be considered in lieu of additional education
Must be able to efficiently multitask
High sense of responsibility and accountability
Must be flexible in availability for any necessary events
Ability to succeed in a team-oriented environment
