Job Description

Spherion is looking for an Administrative assistant for one of their clients in the York area.
Selected candidate will be composing and editing correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, and proposal documents.  Creating and editing PowerPoint presentations.  Creating and editing spreadsheets.  Updating databases.  Making and receiving telephone calls, including taking and delivering messages.  Assisting with the setup and maintenance of department files.  Assisting with marketing efforts.  Assisting with the coordination of legal and insurance reviews of contracts and agreements.  Assisting with the coordination of invoice and price proposal reviews and approvals.  Assisting with the distribution of incoming mail and preparing outgoing mail.  Assisting with the ordering and maintenance of reference library materials.  Assisting with the ordering and maintenance of office supplies and equipment.  Scheduling of meetings and conferences.  Making travel arrangements Other clerical and administrative duties as assigned. Required qualifications shall include, but are not limited to: Minimum 5 years clerical or administrative experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook email system Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, including a high degree of discretion, when dealing with confidential information Highly motivated and detailed oriented.  Self-starter with desire to undertake new initiatives.  Exceptional organizational skills, including electronic document management. Excellent demonstrated written and oral communication skills.  Proven ability to meet deadlines.  Proven ability to follow up on assignments to ensure they are successfully completed. Ability to multi-task. Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.  Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with and in support of others. Ability to maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships with employees, peers, and others. 

Hours will be PT (about 25 hrs per week) - 3 days per week from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.


Experience working for an engineering or architectural firm.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
Administrative Assistant with a minimum of 5 years progressive administrative experience.
