Job Description

Spherion is looking for an energetic Administrative Assistant who has a passion to serve. Our client located in Zionsville, IN is looking to fill the most important role on their team. As their showroom assistant and receptionist you are often the first face clients and colleagues see and the first voice they hear, so your role is very crucial to their success.

Job Summary
Your responsibilities will vary depending on the need. We take customer service and professionalism very seriously. You will represent the company by providing customers with information on products displayed in the showroom.
Additionally, good conversation skills and the ability to handle adverse situations effectively is imperative

Qualifications and Skills
To work as a showroom assistant, one has to possess a high school diploma or GED and be trained in providing exceptional customer service skills. Previous retail customer service and front desk receptionist experience preferred. Industry knowlege in home improvement preferred.

Skills:
Showroom Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
?-Greet customers as they arrive at the showroom and inquire into their purpose of visit
?-Listen actively to customers while they provide details of what they want to buy or look at
?-Lead or escort customers to their desired locations within the showroom or provide them with directions
?-Assist customers in locating items of their choice and provide them with information on its features
?-Demonstrate product features, by clearly articulating each important article and its use
?-Provide advice to customers regarding different brands and their standing in the market
?-Prepare product warranties as needed
?-Handle product displays by ensuring that sufficient pieces are placed on shelves at all times
?-Ascertain that cleanliness and maintenance of showroom by coordinating custodial services
?-Handle customer complaints by ensuring complete customer satisfaction at all levels
?-Answer phones with a pleasant and helpful tone. Make sure all messages on the voicemail are answered in a timely fashion and delivered to the appropriate colleague
?-Maintain sample sheets/cards as directed
?-Maintain product drop and drop lists
?-Keep advertising binder neat and up to date
?-Duplicate sales information (pricing, sales, financing, etc.) for sales staff
?-Sign for deliveries as needed
?-Be responsible for incoming and outgoing mail
?-Perform filing as needed
?-Keep inventory of necessary office supplies
?-Maintain vendor list and account numbers
?-Place orders as requested and follow up when not received
?-Order Bagsters for debris pick up at client homes
?-Monitor email as needed
?-Learn product details so you may be ready to help a client
?-Meet with management during required meetings
?-Maintain showroom neatness and cleanliness including removing trash, vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, glass cleaning, etc.
