-Assist with scheduling in-person appointments through phone calls and emails.
-Review and score application essays and other materials submitted by applicants for the purposes of making admission decisions.
-Input all inquiries into Admissions database.
-Maintain and order office equipment and supplies.
-Process admissions contracts and tuition monies.
-Prepare letters of acceptance or decline after admissions committee meetings.
-Travel occasionally for recruiting.
-Accept inquiry phone calls and answer questions.
-Be able to relate school and student rules, regulations, procedures and policies and be able to clearly articulate them to applicants and their families.
-Assist with the pool of applicants to ensure each applicant file is complete; collect all pertinent forms, including recommendations, grades reports, application, financial aid and health forms, enter applicant into computer system, and follow-up as necessary to keep files current. Keep timely records of all contacts.
-Assist with the in-processing of students upon their arrival to the Academy.
Working hours: day shift
-Strong interpersonal and writing skills are necessary, including public speaking skills
- Fluency in a Spanish required
-Proficiency in Microsoft office products required including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
-Organization and record keeping
-Knowledge of Blackbaud software preferred.
-This position requires the ability to travel to remote locations and to load and transport admissions materials, displays and other equipment. Some evening and weekend hours required, especially during the travel season.
-Strong cross-cultural interpersonal and writing skills are necessary, including public speaking skills and the ability to present the Academy in a positive way to diverse populations.
-Degree or 5 years creditable service in administrative and executive assistant. Previous experience in student recruitment preferred.
