Job Description

The Aerospace CMM Programmer is responsible for providing support to the machine shop and Quality department to ensure all manufactured products meet engineering design specifications and the company maintains compliance with all customer and FAA requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for day to day quality assurance activities using Coordinate Measuring Systems (CMS) within the field of Metrology.
- Operating and programming CMS equipment, PC-DMIS, or similar software for inspection.
- Perform inspection utilizing Portable Arm Type CMM and software to support customer requirements. Generate CMM Inspection Reports.
- Support First Article Inspection activity and documentation per AS 9100 and AS9102.
- Interface with Manufacturing and Engineering ensure products are in accordance with approved data.
- Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with customer requirements and that of the quality management system.
- Assist with maintenance of the Quality Management System.
- Assist with detail, in process, and final part inspection.
- Perform Tooling Inspections and Periodic Tool Inspections.

Working hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00p.m. Monday - Friday

- High School Diploma, or GED.
- Previous experience in an aerospace environment.
- Three (3) to Five (5) years experience with CMS equipment (CMMs, laser trackers, etc) preferred.
- Good working knowledge of GD&T
- Possess excellent PC skills with working knowledge of CMM Inspection software.
- CAD CAM Skills
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and ability to learn other software.
- Ability to use various measuring tolls such as Height Gauges, Dial Indicators, Calipers, Micrometers, etc.
- Possesses good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Works well with others and has a positive attitude.

Additional Qualifications
Preferred candidate will have certification by the American Society for Quality Assurance (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), Certified Auditor (CQA), and/or Certified Calibration Technician (CCT).
