This position is responsible for the day to day operations of the grain elevator facility and the grain that is stored in the facility. This person will perform duties that maximize the operating efficiency of the elevator.
Commitment to worker safety, regulatory compliance and adherence to Coop policies and procedures.
Positions available in Lovington, Cadwell and possibly Arcola

Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local regulations regarding facility operations.
Unload grain being delivered to the elevator and making sure it is going into the correct bin.
Load trucks that are shipping grain out of the elevator.
Monitor grain inventory quality and report any issues to Superintendent.
Prepare grain for shipment. This will include transferring (moving) grain from one or more bins (to meet certain requirements) to a bin that is capable of loading trucks.
Maintain certain housekeeping requirements. (Keep the elevator a clean and safe environment)
Maintain equipment, facility and other company assets in a safe, neat and professional manner.
Assist in preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment and facility.
Assist in maintaining records and reports necessary to comply with government and company policy.
Be able to work hours other than those considered normal to meet seasonal demand.
Be able to work in outdoor conditions with extremes in seasonal weather patterns.
Be able to open gates and doors on trucks and wagons.
Be able to climb ladders in order to load trucks and/or railcars, inspect equipment and grain inventory inspection and measurements.
Other job duties deemed necessary by management.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Skills:
Background/experience with agriculture and farm equipment is preferred.
Must have ability to work in a team environment.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Education:
High School

1-4 years

Qualifications:
? This job can be physically demanding from time to time, and a successful candidate will be expected to be able to work in tight and confined spaces, walk, climb, bend, kneel, lift, grip, grasp, push and pull various tools and equipment. This job may require the ability to ride a man lift and occasionally work at significant heights, with requisite balance and equilibrium. The job requires the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more. This job requires the ability to ascend/descend ladders.

? This job requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, hard hats, safety glasses, safety shoes, and respiratory protection and ear protection as appropriate. You may be required to maintain grooming standard that permit the proper fit of a respirator.

? This job requires the ability to read and comprehend written and oral operational and safety instructions and related rules, policies and memos, and to communicate clearly with co-workers and supervisors.

? It is important to have vision that permits close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. If it is necessary in this position to grade grain, the ability to identify and distinguish colors is also important.

? It is also important to have the ability to detect odors and the ability to understand and discern safety warning systems.
