Job Description

Perform a variety of manual task in cleaning, assembling, unpacking, wrapping, boxing and inspection of
component parts in accordance with standard procedures and techniques. Position may require the use
of various assembly tools such as pneumatic nail gun, staple gun, tape measure, glue gun and other
tools. Assembler will execute one and/or several assembly tasks in any area of the assembly lines.
Assembler must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions and may be required to use sound
judgment in resolving daily problems. The assembler will work as a team member to maintaining
optimum output. This person will develop assembling skills and focus efforts in ensuring the line's
objectives are met for Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Productivity.

Pre assembly phase, which is the construction of the furniture (e.g. sides, bottoms, toe kick, etc.,)
Parts phase, which is the installation of hardware (e.g. supports, re-enforcements, etc.), doors
and/or drawers.
Packaging phase, which consist of boxing, etc.
Clean and maintain tools, equipment and work area.
Review work assignment with team members and supervisor to ensure all materials, supplies and
components are available and in good condition.
Ensure the tasks that are being performed meet quality and productivity standards.
Work according to the Employee Guidelines, which include all safety rules and report any unsafe
conditions to supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Working hours: 6:00 PM - 5:00 AM

Continual walking, standing, reaching, pushing, gripping, and handling.
- Use of hands to include grasping both firm and light.
- Continual lifting and/or carrying of 0-20 lbs. Floor to chest.
- Occasional lifting and/or carrying of over 30 lbs. Floor to chest.
- Occasional lifting, pushing and/or pulling over 50 lbs.

High School

0-1 years

Education: GED or equivalent.
Ability to communicate orally.
Must have manual dexterity
Ability to use hand tools.
Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
