Job Description

As the Assistant Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be assisting the Area Managers as assigned. Your primary duties and responsibilities will be to:
  1. Provide guidance, motivation, and instruction to employees and temporary staffing on the orders coming through the department.
  2. Coordinate their work activities and production.
  3. Ensure the enforcement of all safety rules and regulations.
  4. Monitors Quality.
  5. Ensure production goals are met, referring issues to their supervisor.
  6. Use of computer and associated systems to include Kronos, Flex, SAP, etc.
  7. Confer with management to resolve worker problems and complaints, providing written documentation of all issues.       
  8. Ensure materials, supplies, parts and repairs are all on track.
  9. Coordinate and communicate with other department supervisors as well as employees.
  10. Assist with the scheduling of employees including shift hours and overtime.
  11. Assist with the collection and/or input of time for payroll – including outside agency reporting requirements.  
  12. Performs other related duties as required for the efficient operation of the manufacturing floor or as directed by the Supervisor.

You must be a strong individual that is not afraid to be on the manufacturing floor and interacting with all employees. 
You will not just sit in an office….lots of walking involved.
You must be comfortable with working in computer systems – Microsoft Office as well as a comfort level with plant systems, such as Kronos.  Our client also has a machine monitoring system called Flex that you would have to understand and work in.


1. Demonstrated excellent communication skills
2. Strong computer experience required with basic to intermediate level proficiency of Microsoft Excel.
3. Knowledge of SAP is a definite plus
4. High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 2 years manufacturing/distribution and supervisory experience.
5. Ability to work in a fast paced, mobile environment (frequent walking)
