Spherion Staffing is currently seeking a benefits assistant for a local client in College Station!
This candidate will be under general direction of the Compensation & Benefits Manager, the Benefits Assistant performs various administrative and specialized tasks assisting the Benefits Specialist in supporting the day-to-day administration of the employee benefit programs and assisting employees with various benefit related issues, concerns or requests for service in accordance with established policies and regulations, while maintaining a very high degree of confidentiality.

Working hours: M-F

High School Diploma and one (1) year experience related to area of assignment; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Texas Driver's License
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; follow oral and written instructions; maintain a high level of confidentiality; complete work with a strong attention to detail; multi-task and work effectively under time constraints; and deal effectively and courteously with associates and the general public
Possess intermediate level computer skills in the use of word processing, spreadsheets and data entry, as well as the ability to quickly learn software related to departmental functions

Associate's Degree in management, human resources or related field
Two (2) to five (5) years' experience I the human resources field
Knowledge of Benefits Administration including knowledge of Healthcare Laws
