Job Description

Because we are a retail business, the hours vary.
Applicants will be required to work some weekends, evenings, and some 10 hour shifts. Applicants are expected to work whatever hours necessary to achieve success.

Handle all financial transactions for customers purchasing furniture. Financial transactions include cash, check processor, credit and debit cards, and a minimum of five finance companies offering multiple finance terms. Ensure that all customer documents and contracts are complete and accurate including signatures, amounts, correct payments and quoted times of arrival. Process all protections plans (extended warranties). Arrange delivery times and schedules including maps and directions which requires a good understanding of logistics and processes. Notifying customers via telephone when orders arrive. General office duties: answering phones, forwarding messages, filing, ordering supplies, organizing, cleaning the office. Possibility of assisting buyers with special projects: fabric and catalog updates, creating documents, processing order acknowledgments. Possibility of assisting buyers with showroom set up. Be available to work store hours, Mon - Saturday 10-6(Closed Sunday)
Be able to work holidays such as New Year's Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day and Black Friday. (Closed for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas).
This position is a support position to a team of 6-10 sales people and the owners

Responsibilities:
The primary Bookkeeping duties include balancing and posting daily receivables, reconciling, and financial reports also, Payable Invoice Entry in software program with check writing responsibilities and payroll reporting to Payroll Plus. Additional duties include ensuring taxes are paid, registrations & licenses are kept up to date, filing, and all other financial duties.Ability to work in a busy, active environment and stay focused.

Working hours: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)

Skills:
Great communication skills, Be able to work in a fast past environment. One year of Quick book experience and office skills. Be proficient in MS Word, Excel and comfortable navigating multiple on-line portals.

Education:
No Degree Required

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
High school diploma. Experience working in a fast pace retail environment. Quick books and financial experience to include filing customers records, answering phones and invoicing.
