Business Development Representative - Construction Quality Testing

Our company provides innovative construction safety testing and materials and buildings for the Commercial Construction industry. We partner with the largest Commercial Construction companies, state and local governments to establish methodologies for Safety Testing of materials during the building process.

Our professional staff has over 100 years of experience related to project management, engineering, contracting, and the technical expertise required for the field. This broad network of internal and external consultants gives us the ability to seamlessly integrate work scopes allowing us to offer a turn-key approach to the projects. Our extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory processes is essential for the success of every construction project. Our knowledge and experience result in a quality product performed on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for achieving the sales and service objectives for the company. The BDR is responsible for establishing and maintaining a professional business relationship with existing and prospective customers along with growing the business with each customer. The Business Development Representative reports directly to the owner and also builds relationships with the Project Managers, Sales Engineers, key customers, and employees.
The BDR will be prospecting and building relationships with Engineers, Architects, and key Construction Companies related to our industry. This involves extensive local travel as well as inside sales activity.
As with any successful organization, metrics are key to the responsibilities of the position including tracking leads and prospects in the CRM system, following up with leads and prospects, and frequent meetings with the owner as well as other key stakeholders to review metrics and reports.

Skills:
Education and/or Experience Requirements
> The successful candidate will have five (5+) years' experience in outside sales.
> Previous sales experience should include an established presence in the Northeast.
> Must be able to come to New Jersey office for occasional meetings and training.
> Preferred client experience is in the Construction Industry (Engineering, Geotechnical, Architectural, Civil, Structural).
> Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of sales and customer support, and able to read and understand both technical and operational information.
> Excellent communication skills is a must.

Compensation
- Compensation for this position is a base of $50,000 to $100,000 plus commission bringing the uncapped potential to $150,000+.
