Job Description

The Finance and Office Manager is responsible for managing funds in such a manner as to maximize return on investment while minimizing risk, and while also ensuring that an adequate control structure is in place over the transfer and investment of funds. Further, the Finance and Office Manager engages in financial analysis in such areas as forecasting, budgeting, engaging in cost reduction analysis, and reviewing operational performance.

Responsibilities:
The Finance / Office Manager is fully accountable for all financial operations of the property, company and owner. The purpose of the Finance / Office Manager is to effectively oversee the financial condition of Client Properties and the holdings of the owner. The Finance and Office Manager is also responsible for overseeing the human resources aspect of the company and abiding by all policies and procedures set forth by the owner:

Financial:
- Ensures that deposits are made daily and posted appropriately in the accounting software
- Ensures that all invoices are posted in the accounting Client Properties-- bank statements, in addition to reconciling the owner's bank statements
- Reads and analyzes weekly Property Reports turned in by Property Managers
- Reconciles and keep current all credit cards issued in the company's and owner's names
- Analyzes all Stat Reports turned in monthly by Property Managers and compiles a Stat Letter that is forwarded to the owner on a monthly basis
- Prepares all Financial Statements for each company associated with Client Properties, and presents to the owner
- Prepares all Financials associated with the owner's personal holdings

Human Resources:
- Analyzing all time sheets turned in by the Property Manager Supervisor for accuracy
- Runs a weekly payroll
- Prepares all payroll reports and taxes
- Along with the Owner and/or Property Manager, interviews prospective candidates for employment
- Conducts background/credit checks for prospective employees
- Maintains employee files
- Ensures that employee garnishments are handled appropriately
- Maintains employee contracts/job descriptions

Properties:
- Reviews and analyzes the rental property trends turned in by the Property Manager Supervisor
- Oversees a monthly Managers Meeting along with the Property Managers, preparing all agendas covering topics that need to be addressed
- Periodically visits properties to ensure that company professionalism is being observed at each location
- Along with the Property Manager and/or Owner, visits properties to view maintenance issues
- Reviews contractor bids and may meet contractors/vendors at property sites to review bids if needed.
- Addresses any property complaints sent to corporate office and notifies the Owner and/or Property Manager in a timely manner

-Associate or Bachelor degree in accounting is required
