Job Description

 

Spherion Temple is looking for a CAD Designer with Electrical knowledge/experience. This position is responsible for the complete review, take-offs, lists, design, pre-fab assembly designs, and purchase orders for projects received as per scope of contract. Verifying all changes/addendums for construction. Verifying all fixtures and gear for correctness. Attend turn-over meetings as needed. Creating drawings for PDF/BIM/REVIT and field use.

Responsibilities:
- Review all plan notes and specifications to create a note review sheet.
- Verify any addendums, alternates, and exclusions for change in construction.
- Create coordination study, feeder schedule, and feeder PO.
- Verify all counts for fixtures, gear, and devices/floor boxes using the matrix form.
- Design all underground conduits and create POs.
- Design temporary power plan as needed for project.
- Design all aspects of the electrical system including requirements for HVAC and plumbing.
- Create Mechanical/Electrical Coordination Sheet and send to PM for contractor follow-up.
- Create pre-fab designs to aide in the field installation. Pre-fab is highly recommended for each project.
- Create wiring lists for conduits ran to panels.
- Create all typed panel schedules and label lists needed for all equipment.
- Create RFIs needed and send to PM for contractor response.
- If required, create Change Orders for anything added or deleted from scope.
- Review submittals received from suppliers, checking for all parts required for mounting, sizes of breakers needed, direction of panel orientation, etc. for release.
- List all equipment for connection of disconnects, starters, and contactors verifying fuse/heater sizes from Mechanical/Electrical Coordination Sheetreceived from contractor.
- Verify and design all aspects of low voltage lighting control as per plans and supplier shop drawings.
- Verify all requirements for rough-in of data/low volt contractor???s systems as per their shop drawings.
- Create designs in BIM or Revit as the project deems necessary for field and contractor use. Adjust design as conflicts arise from other trades.
- Duties as assigned.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Best candidate must have a concept of a complete electrical system. Understands and uses a Windows/Office computer system. Have CAD/Revit/BIM training highly recommended.

Trade

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
Electrical License is highly recommended or 5+ yrs of experience.
Must have experience in Auto CAD
