Job Description

Spherion is working in partnership with Exact Sciences in recruiting for a CAD Technician for a DIRECT HIRE opportunity. The CAD Technician will work closely with the Facilities Department and its stakeholders in establishing and maintaining drawings in support of Exact Sciences' operations. This will involve developing drawing standards, receiving and accepting drawings at the completion of projects, regularly updating the record sets to match renovations or maintenance activities, as well as general drafting in support of projects. The CAD Administrator will also manage the drawings in the quality management system for GMP spaces and follow the change management process to update drawings.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement facility CAD file organization and management standards.
- Maintain the drawing database, following best practices for drawing creation and archievement
- Work directly with outside design consultants and contractors on the turn over and receipt of as-built record drawing files for completed projects. Ensure that turnover files are in an accessible format and are complete for the needs of record drawing files.
- Assist team with government submittals and drawings and have an understanding of complex project types.
- Communicate with vendors, engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing regarding new and revised prints.
- Utilize knowledge of various equipment, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
- Use computer assisted design/drafting software (primarily AutoCAD) to develop, design, manage, and maintain drawings.
- Check, mark-up, and approve drawings for release.
- Update and maintain drafting and engineering standards.
- Maintain documentation of projects (drawings, building manuals, design parameters, basis of design, etc.) for future reference.
- Support and comply with the company???s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
- Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to seek feedback, assess needs, and convert requests to completed work.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance of all safety and work rules.
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Agile, etc. required.
- Ability to travel (by land and air), on occasion.
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Education:
Associate

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
- Associates degree or completion of a technical program in CAD, drafting, or related field; or relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- 2+ years of related work experience.
- Experience in regulated environment, e.g., ISO 13485, FDA, GMP, or USDA. Preferred
- Experience with administration of drawings, and ability to read and understand facility drawings and details.
- Experience with facilities??? software tools: AutoCAD, Revit, Visio, CMMS, and CAFM.
- Knowledge of BIM coordination and the ability to coordinate multiple models.
- Must possess a valid driver's license, have no more than 2 moving violations in the past 36 months, and have no unresolved revocation or suspension issues.
- Maintenance of sufficient driver???s insurance to satisfy any applicable state or local requirements
- Experience in equipment or process layouts for GMP facilities and manufacturing strongly preferred.
- Experience with current Revit software and have Revit certification preferred
