Job Description

- Interprets drawings and/ or solid part models to write programs for the Citizen machines that include proper methodology, tooling, and cutting speeds and feeds in order to generate quality parts in accordance to product specifications
- Partmaker experience a plus
- Troubleshoots programming issues
- Creates set-up sheets based on tooling selection criteria
- Monitors and verifies the accuracy of each job's initial set-up and final outcome
- Revises programs and documents based on engineering changes
- Maintains library of programs in an organized manner so personnel can access information to verify inspection criteria
- Analyzes and assesses opportunities for improvement through new tooling and manufacturing methods
- Recognizes and applies efficient production methods for complex as well as simple parts
- Communicates with the department manager regarding upcoming and existing jobs on the floor
- Provides shop floor assistance with inspection methods, training on machines, machine alarms, and program issues, running and setup of machines and deburr when necessary.
- Supplies the customer relations department with solid manufacturing information for quote development in procurement of potential business opportunities
- Assists the tool room with prints and designs for work holding fixtures
- Ensure product is moving to next operation as efficiently as possible
- Can seamlessly fill in for manufacturing manager when called upon

Working hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 4:30PM

Skills:
High school diploma or GED; technical certificate preferred; supplemented by five or more years' experience programming and operating manual or CNC machines in a manufacturing environment; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
