Job Description

As a CNC machine technician, you will be operating CNC equipment to produce close tolerance parts to print specifications. In order to do this, you will be asked to set up and operate the numerical controlled turret lathe that performs a variety of turning, boring, threading, facing, and chamfering operations to both ferrous and non-ferrous alloy and plastic component parts. You will also be preparing materials to specification for the CNC lathe that will require various cutting techniques and operations utilizing power band saws, table saws, and radial arm saws. Other important job duties and responsibilities will be to:
  • inspect all parts
  • identify necessary operations
  • complete statistical process control charts for data collection purposes for ISO quality standards
  • calibrate tooling for ISO quality standards
  • follow all safety regulations
  • maintain a clean and orderly work environment
You will be working primarily 8 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00AM to 3:30PM with some overtime required. If overtime is required, you may be asked to come in at 6:00AM and/or stay until 4:30PM. This position pays $15.00 per hour. While this position is only scheduled to be a temporary position, there is always the possibility for the right candidate to be hired on full time at a later date.

Skills

  • Basic understanding of blueprint reading, drafting, machine shop, and inspection tools required
  • Training in automated mills and programming milling equipment a plus

Qualification

  • HS Diploma, additional vocational/technical training, and machinist certification required
  • Previous experience in CNC or equivalent math, computer, and technical education
