1st and 2nd Shift CNC Machinist:
Monday through Thursday, 40 hours per week - Overtime possible
High School Diploma or GED required
THIS POSITION DOES REQUIRE THAT YOU HAVE PREVIOUS CNC MACHINING EXPERIENCE:
Vocational / Tech School or three to five years of work experience. Must have math and computer skills and the ability to make precise adjustments.
** Program, set up, calibrate and operate computer numerical control (CNC) machining and/or CNC mill to produce required quantities of parts. Sets up machine using knowledge of job requirements and materials used to enter control panel settings for tool travel, axis movement, and tool speeds. Performs production operations, monitoring machine performance, and part quality continuously.
** Sets up and operates conventional drill presses, radial drill presses, lathes and milling machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.
Working hours: 1st and 2nd Shifts
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Studies blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished parts, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
2) Selects, aligns, and secures jigs, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as drill presses, mills, and lathes. Sets controls to regulate machining speeds, feeds, and depth.
3) Able to use micrometers and calipers
4) Perform monthly maintenance on machines
