The CNC operator will work in a team environment performing custom cutting, production and output on various substrates and tooling on the CNC Machine/Digital Cutter. Must program and operate one or more machine functions and follow date specific work schedule to produce customer products in a timely manner. Operation of cutting shears, hand pallet jacks and other tools will be necessary.
Will be responsible for assisting team members with questions regarding layouts of products to be cut/engraved to specifications, demonstrate techniques and shortcuts to help improve quality, productivity and accuracy.
Quality assurance tasks will be required to verify that products meet or exceed standards. Necessary paperwork will need to be completed on products, associated scrap and appropriate movement of product to the next stage of operation.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday through Friday
The CNC operator should have:
- High School Diploma, a degree with major coursework in tooling or graphic design is beneficial
- At least one year of machining, tooling and/or die cutting experience
- Graphics experience, preferably CAD and Drafting
- The ability to communicate well and work in a close knit team environment
