Job Description

As a part of an overall manufacturing team, be able to perform all aspects of coating and laminating at the highest quality levels. Responsible for efficient operation of coater/laminator and ensures quality product from coater/laminator to slitter and press. Provides leadership to CTR/LAM assistant operator. Ensures compliance to Safety and GMP requirements

Responsibilities:
- Operate coater/laminator as a member of the production team who are multi-skilled and cross-trained on all process equipment.
- Provide leadership to other crew members in performing quality coating/laminating and in meeting manufacturing goals.
- Demonstrate expertise on all coating and laminating equipment and processes.
- Demonstrate knowledge of product structures including webs and wets.
- Demonstrate expertise on coating and adhesive mixing operations.
- Demonstrate coating and laminating expertise during job start-ups and perform all quality checks.
- Demonstrate ability to set-up all jobs (includes CTR/LAM settings and trolley set-up).
- Proficient at process trouble shooting including visual defects, dying, contamination, etc.
- Demonstrate expertise on curing room processes for various structures.
- Provide training to crew members on all equipment and processes.
- Read and understand work orders for current jobs and upcoming jobs.
- Perform all quality checks and make process adjustments accordingly.
- Plan ahead and ensure that all support departments are prepared for current and upcoming jobs.
- Perform appropriate PM on equipment.
- Operate Forklift.
- Perform daily and periodic cleaning in order to maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the manufacturing area.
- Observe and make recommendations on all issues regarding safety, quality and production.
- All other duties appropriate to the position as assigned or required.

Skills:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
--High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
--Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
--Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
--Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL
--Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
--Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY
--Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
--Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS
--Basic Computer Knowledge.
