Job Description

The primary function of the Production Associate is to perform all tasks associated with inspection and packaging of fiberglass insulation in the process of the finish product and tend to the packaging machine that performs
one or more packaging functions to include: inspecting, filling, loading,marking, labeling, bagging, sealing, or package insulation by performing the duties listed below.

- Starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine.
- Stops machine and reports any malfunctions to a supervisor.
- Makes minor adjustments or repairs such as re-thread banding, clears away damaged product.
- Inspects fiberglass insulation to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications and advises Line Technician, Cold End Coordinator or Shift Supervisor of any problems.
- Feed product to various packaging equipment while maintaining maximum productivity and maximum quality.
- Replenishes packaging supplies such as over-wrap paper, bags, film glue, ink or labels while maintaining a clean, neat and orderly workspace.
- Mounts supplies on spindles or places supplies in hopper or other feeding devices.
- Counts and positions fiberglass in machines and starts the cycle.
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned.
- Participates in downtime, which includes cleaning equipment and areas of the plant.

Working hours: 2:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)

- Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly. - Able to read, write and interpret written information.
- Exhibit sound and accurate judgment and include appropriate people in decision-making process. - Accurately count and perform basic math functions, including mental calculation of simple equations and/or fractions.
- Adhere to guidelines set forth in the Employee Handbook and follow KIMS and management/departmental policies and procedures.
- Understand the impact of energy usage and assist company in conserving resources and energy at all times. - Use time efficiently and complete work in a timely manner.
