Job Description

Our client located on the Southside is seeking a Compliance Manager. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with compliance, risk management or as legal counsel. Experience with consumer product testing, or consumer goods a plus. The Compliance Manager plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of the organization to ensure compliance with ethical, regulatory, and legal requirements.

- Manage the Compliance Department, the Product Compliance Specialist, and Customer Compliance Specialist.
- Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes.
- File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies.
- Conduct or direct the internal investigation of compliance issues.
- Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation, and create and implement policies and procedure to prevent future issues.
- Report violations of compliance or regulatory standards to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate or required.
- Disseminate written policies and procedures related to compliance activities.
- Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees to communicate with management, seek clarification on issues or dilemmas, or report irregularities.
- Provide employee training on compliance related topics, policies, or procedures.
- Verify that all firm and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated.

-Bachelor's Degree
-Must be able to communicate at all levels within the organization effectively
-Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills
-Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at one time
-Strong organization, follow up, follow through and communication skills
-Ability to function effectively in a team environment and handle all communication in a highly professional manner
-Adept in translating compliance issues into understandable terminology to prevent noncompliance from repeating.
-Experience with consumer product testing desired, but not required.

BS/BA Required
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the legal field or risk management
