Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The overriding business objective for the Conformal Coating Operator is to apply conformal coating for sub-assemblies and assembled circuit boards using both automated equipment and manual spray methods. This role will support the production build process for NPI and established product lines, supporting cycle time and internal and external customer needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to operate conformal coating machinery (Nordson Asymtek 940), ovens, and soldering equipment as well as power and hand tools.
  • Perform application of Humiseal 1B31 and 1A33 conformal coatings to assembled circuit board using automated machines and manual spray processes.
  • Apply, inspect and remove tape and masking material from circuit boards.
  • Must be able to mix and work with chemicals for bonding and coating (Humiseal) applications.
  • Perform all in-process inspection, as required.
  • Perform rework and bonding for assemblies.
  • Read and follow electronic work instruction and assembly drawings
  • Complete tasks within established labor standards.
  • Acquire and maintain all required certifications and training.
  • Ensure conformal records are maintained in an orderly and accurate manner.
  • All other assigned duties as needed to complete business goals and objectives.


Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Skills:

  • Ability to safely and proficiently use a microscope and/or Mantis as tools needed to complete tasks
  • Understanding of ESD requirements associated with a production environment.
  • Proficient with reading and understanding assembly drawings.
  • Ability to work in a controlled environment using solvents and coatings.
  • Ability to work with industrial equipment using Microsoft Windows platforms.


Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or (GED) required.
  • 1-2 years of conformal coating or equivalent experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of IPC-610 electronics acceptability standards
