Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Contract Tracing Team Leader for this work from home opportunity with the State of WI - DHS. The Contact Tracing Team Leader is responsible for directing, coordinating, planning, monitoring and evaluating the daily operational activities of the Contract Tracing Team and meeting operational goals, and objectives. The position provides expertise and coordination of policy development and implementation, project management, and other services required for the effective and efficient management of over 400 limited term employees, Epidemiologists, Public Health Nurses and Local and Tribal Health Department liaisons.

- Coach, manage and mentor professional managers to achieve maximum program effectiveness.
- Establish and implement performance standards and evaluation methodologies for staff to maximize employee effectiveness and improve productivity.
- Review the work of managers and staff; counsel on performance issues and all HR issues.
- Direct the hiring and onboarding of LTE staff.
- Provide the direction, planning, administering and evaluation of the development and implementation of operational procedures for DHS Contact Tracing Team.
- Direct the development and implementation of operational procedures designed to promote effective and efficient operation of the CTT.
- Answer any questions or concerns as it relates to processes and procedures to complete contact interviews and case investigations.
- Monitor quantity of returned records to ensure productivity and provide feedback to Unit Supervisor regarding deficiencies in documentation or productivity; keeping specific and detailed notes regarding identified deficiencies.
- Provide leadership and direction as necessary with problems encountered to achieve consistency and adherence to policy and team objectives
- Develop and provide input on training materials for additions and improvements
- Attend regular meetings to provide input and remain current on team queue, goals, strategies and process
- Participate in Contact Tracing Workgroups - Workgroups assist with developing resources and training for the contact tracing team, including leadership, on various topics.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

1-4 years

- Experience as a supervisor, lead worker, operations or project manager, in a leadership or supervisory role performing duties such as leading a multidisciplinary team, reviewing work of others, hiring staff, disciplining staff, training, etc.
- Experience supervising/managing/developing staff (including broad scope of management duties such as allocating resources, reviewing/assigning work, leading/motivating staff, evaluating and providing feedback of employee's work, etc.) Ability to exhibit a professional attitude and work ethic.
- Experience managing programs or projects with significant stakeholder impacts or public profile.
- Experience working in settings regulated by statutory mandates, administrative policies, laws, or regulations.
- Experience working with health care organizations or working with public health programs performing duties such as: budgeting; strategic planning; monitoring results; providing technical assistance; leading change and quality improvement projects or initiatives; recommending alternative processes, performance management, implementation, evaluation, etc.
