Job Description

- Ensure the core banking servers and applications are available.
- Ensure all applicable help desk tickets are responded to quickly.
- Ensure all systems are backed up or replicated to a secondary site.
- Ensure core software is installed and configured in line with security objectives.
- Evaluates and recommends technologies to implement.
- Evaluates and tests core system upgrades, features and enhancements for implementation.

- Manage and document system workflows and batch processes for core banking servers and applications.
- Schedule upgrades and security patching of managed server applications.
- Develops and maintains professional client and vendor relationships.
- Serve as a backup to the Core Analysts team members.
- Adhere to all Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Report to work on time and as scheduled.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Core Systems Manager, VP of IT or CIO.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

- Intermediate experience with programming languages.
- Intermediate experience with fault tolerant systems.
- Intermediate experience with TCP/IP networking.
- Intermediate programming or scripting experience.
- Intermediate experience with supporting Microsoft Windows desktop/server operating systems.
- Intermediate experience with DNS and DHCP.
- Intermediate experience with backup/replication technologies.


1-4 years

- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work with fellow employees in various departments to develop workflows.
- Ability to work with 3rd party vendors to support and maintain core banking servers and applications.
- Advanced experience with credit union or banking core software.
- Advanced experience with hierarchical and relational databases.
- Maintain strict confidentiality with member data.
- Excellent organizational and follow-through skills.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple issues in a fast paced work environment.
- Participate in on call support rotation.
