Job Description

Our client, a commercial equipment contractor has an opening for a well-qualified Crane Service Technician in Williston, ND.

This individual is responsible for the effective repair of machinery and components in the field, at high levels of quality. This individual must work independent of direct supervision in a field environment.

Pay Up to $40/hour DOE

- Perform field repairs and maintenance jobs with little or no direct supervision
- Knowledge of a variety of different types of LMI systems and able to read and understand load charts
- Knowledge of a variety types of cranes such as lattice crawler, lattice truck, hydraulic truck, and rough terrain
- Ability to set up cranes and operate safely
- Responsible for servicing units to fulfill OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications
- Basic testing knowledge of all machine systems
- Recondition and repair equipment and components in a complete, safe, and effective manner by planning methods and sequence of performing repairs assigned
- Perform diagnostic inspections as directed, including repair determination inspections following established guidelines, identify the cause of failure, and identify solutions necessary to affect a repair
- Responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe manner
- Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases in repairs
- Assists in the collection of data necessary for efficient inventory control
- Attends training at local, regional, national service schools as requested
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment
- Maintains and cares for shop tools, equipment, and vehicles
- Completes all paperwork required for jobs
- Performs as directed by the Service Management
- Background in electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting

Working hours: To be determined

--Minimum 2 year Diesel Technology or Automotive Technology degree or equivalent experience
--Crane Inspector Certification recommended but not required
--Obtains or is willing to obtain a Class A CDL License
--Must have a basic tool set
--Must practice good, safe work habits
--Must have good communication skills
--Must be personable, highly motivated, a problem solver, reliable, ethical, and able to adapt to all forces around them, customers, suppliers, coworkers, and manufacturers
--Must have a pleasing personality with a sales aptitude
--Strong diagnostic skills
--Able to work with minimal supervision
--Organizational skills with ability to effectively manage multiple projects
--Good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions
