Job Description

Our client is actively seeking a Credit and Collections Manager for their company. An ideal candidate will offer support and direction to staff, enforce company procedures and policies, and provide requested invoices and documents to determine creditworthiness of customers. A successful candidate will have 2+ years of experience as a Credit/Collections Manager that previously managed a team of 10+ employees, and is a High School Graduate or have their GED.

Direct Hire
Pay: $33,280 - $41,600
Hours: Monday-Friday 8-5

- Develop close working relationships with Customer Accounts Payable personnel, co-workers, 3rd party payers, Midwest Account Executives, Regional Sales Managers, Credit Collection Staff working towards resolution of past due invoices and accounts.
- Notify customers of past due freight bills
- Provide scheduled aging to various types of customers
- Provide requested invoices and documents and determine creditworthiness of customer.
- Work each day at reducing company's receivables aged beyond terms
- Work with employees to streamline productivity and improve efficiencies in the department
- Offer support and direction to staff to keep collection efforts in the department friendly, professional and business appropriate
- Enforce company procedures and policies
- Work directly with the General Office Manager to determine next step of Final Notices, Cash Letters, Suspending Business and making credit decisions as to when to place delinquent invoices in collection, when to use small claims court or attorneys to resolve past due situations

Working hours: 8-5

--2+ years' experience as a Credit/Collections Manager
--High School Graduate
--Must be very organized, must be very productive, good at communicating both verbally and written.
--Good with organizing emails and following through with collection actions. Good at developing and maintaining business relationships.
--Understanding the role of being a department manager
--Previously managed a team of 10+ employees
