Job Description

Join our Client as a Custom Product Finishing Tech! Our client is a Biotechnology Company headquartered in Madison WI, with branches throughout the world. They manufacture products for life science research, drug discovery, forensics and diagnostics. Their products are used by life scientists who are asking fundamental questions about biological processes as well as by scientists who are applying scientific knowledge to diagnose and treat diseases, discover new therapeutics, and use genetics and DNA testing for human identification, food and water quality testing and many other applications.

The Custom Product Finishing Tech will work in a team environment to finish products to quality standards in order to meet custom production goals and productivity guidelines, and is responsible for fulfilling customer requirements, meet and exceed customer expectations, producing high quality, safe and effective products. This position will have a basic understanding of product finishing including process order execution, labeling, dispensing, and kitting.

- Provide a high level of both intradepartmental and interdepartmental (Production, Quality Assurance, Shipping, Materials Management, etc.) customer service and communication.
- Setup and operate manual and automated labeling, dispensing, and kitting equipment.
- Label components and kits.
- Dispense and assemble components into kits and kit sub-assemblies using approved work instructions.
- Accurately complete all required written documentation including batch records.
- Be attentive and aware of defects that may arise during daily work.
- Alert group leader or supervisor of nonconformances.
- Follow contamination control procedures.
- Understand and comply with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.

- Clean and maintain production areas and equipment.
- Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities and assist with these initiatives.
- Assist other groups with product finishing tasks.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

- Excellent level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work accurately.
- Adaptability and flexibility to changing production demands.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Competency in general math.
- Ability to proficiently use computers and electronic interfaces. Preferably ERP systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, HMI's, and Outlook.
- Ability to stand for several hours at a time
- Manual dexterity to dispense product and assemble kits

High School

1-4 years

- High school education or equivalent.
- At least one year in a production environment with exposure to various production and packaging equipment.
