Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (Note: Other duties may be assigned)

-Provide courteous customer contact while communicating the client's philosophy to their customers.
-Handle incoming telephone calls and manages email communication using MS Outlook.
-Establish rapport with customers and provide the best possible service.
-Capture information requests for air cargo transportation including shipping and receiving parties, origin and destination airports, estimated dates of transit etc.
-Research and determine the best routing and air carrier options along with domestic and international shipment rating.
-Contact airlines to "book" cargo space, send documents to customers to confirm flight itinerary, and track flight status and inform customer of any delays or changes.
-Performs data entry in air logistics management software.
-Identifies new client opportunities when speaking to first-time users of the client and relays prospect information to the Sales team.
-Assist Team Lead or Customer Service Manager with special projects as requested.

Working hours: Monday - Friday; 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Skills:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
-High School Graduate
-2+ years customer service experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

-Strong desire and ability to serve customers and solve problems empathetically and effectively.
-Strong typing skills, math skills, and PC proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office skills.
-Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
-Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
-Excellent organization and follow through skills.
-Flexible, adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast paced office environment.
-Travel agency or transportation/logistics experience highly desirable.
-Strong team player.

-Office environment, Utilizing an office desk - sitting, reading, listening, or speaking with the ability to move intermittently throughout the day.
-Must have the ability to sit at an office desk for long periods of time within close proximity to telephone and PC.
-Must have ability to climb stairs on a regular basis and lift up to 20 pounds.
-Strong sensory skills, such as good eyesight, good hearing, and dexterity.
-Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, copiers, fax machines and phones.

-11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
