Job Description

Busy utilities company is seeking CSR to start ASAP. Temp to hire, schedule varies 8-5 or 8:30-5:30 and will rotate a 10-7 once per month. Under direct supervision of the Lead Customer Service Representative, performs and executes daily duties of customer service related work involving heavy customer contact via telephone and in person, account maintenance, service order creation/completion, daily cashiering and basic account related problem solving. Employee will also perform related office/clerical work and other related duties as assigned. Work will be frequently supervised for quality control purposes.

Responsibilities:
Interaction with the public orally or by correspondence, in a manner that is customer focused, respectful, tactful, and helpful
Cashiering
Account activation, termination, investigation, payment arrangements, payment, extensions and other general account maintenance interactions
Researches and resolves basic and escalated customer related issues
Review customer account to determine course of action allowed based on policy requirements
Answering questions requiring judgment
Understands, maintains the proper execution of policy/procedure, resolutions, and ordinances
Provides guidance, training and cross training opportunities to CSR's to ensure continuity of service
Reviews reports
Interacts with internal and external customers with a goal related focus
Responsible to work within the parameters of the established KPIs of which the department is evaluated on by both internal and external parties.
Performs related work as assigned.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Knowledge of proper customer service functions
Knowledge of basic accounting
Knowledge of data processing applications and methods
Knowledge of basic utility operation
Knowledge of areas operations procedures and practices
Knowledge of utility website, payment options, policies, procedures and manuals
Skill in problem solving, forward thinking
Skill in managing conflict internal and external
Ability to address challenging issues with good judgment; tact and courtesy.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations manually or with a calculator
Ability to use basic office equipment

Education:
No Degree Required

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
1-4 years experience in call center environment
Ability to type 40+wpm with 90% accuracy or above
Preferred experience in leadership capacity of about 1 year
