Job Description

Our client is a $1.2B leading national distributor of highly engineered products and services with over 220 locations in the US, including Puerto Rico. Established in 1971, their industry leading technical sales force has been servicing their customers for nearly 50 years.

We are in search of a professional Customer Service Specialist to join their team.

Responsibilities:
Customer Service
- Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to suggest specific products and solutions.
- Suggest alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.
- Upsell and proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability.
- Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction.
- Contact customers following sales to ensure on-going customer satisfaction and to resolve any pending issues or concerns.
- Remain current on product developments by attending training (company/supplier), reading trade journals, supplier literature etc.
- Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns.
- Setup and maintain customer files and notes within the company ordering software. Expedite/On-time Delivery/Sourcing

Expedite/On-time Delivery/Sourcing
- Obtain accurate information from suppliers relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery.
- Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery, expedite as needed and communicate variances to customer.
- Actively communicate shipment information to customers on a regular basis to exceed customer expectations.
- Identify sources of supply to fulfill customer product requirements, negotiate purchase terms and enter purchase orders for non-stock items

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
- A minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
- Associates Degree in Technical discipline preferred
- Mechanical and mathematical aptitude required
- Knowledge of the distribution industry and KIT products preferred
- A valid driver???s license may be required
- Must be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds
