Job Description
Combines advanced statistical, analytical, and data mining expertise, knowledge of the financial industry, and programming skills to research, collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets from internal and external sources to develop data-driven solutions to difficult business challenges. Integrates and prepares large, varied data sets, architects specialized data and computing environments and communicates results in a way that can be easily understood by business counterparts.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for maintaining, organizing and extracting trends in large data sets.
- Responsible for managing data-flow and focus on analytics databases.
- Integrates various disparate data sources across multiple database platforms.
- Implements data collection systems and updates.
- Works to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality. Continually tune systems and code to enhance performance, security, and availability on existing databases and applications.
- Install, test, and debug new enhancements received from software vendors in accordance with standard operating procedures and practices to ensure proper utilization before implementation of the production system.
- Maintains SQL databases and data warehouse systems for the organization. Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
- Creates system design proposals, establishes project timelines and milestones/deliverables using the appropriate tools and effectively manages project teams??? time and allocates resources to ensure deliverables are completed.
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- High proficiency with SQL and database development required.
- Ability to manipulate, query, and analyze large quantities of data and present it in simple, insightful, actionable summaries for a diverse audience.
- Ability to create and organize reports that synthesize complex information.
- Ability to create and effectively create and present relevant and readable graphs, charts, presentation materials, reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals for a diverse audience.
- Ability to research, read, analyze and interpret financial reports, procedure manuals, business periodicals and professional journals.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects. Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases.
Education:
High School
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years previous work experience in analytics and modeling environments of financial or marketing industry.
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with SQL databases and data modeling.
