Job Description

Our client, a growing Manufacturing/Distribution facility is seeking an experienced Demand Planner for their Southside location. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in demand planning, and inventory management.

Additional duties will include:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date forecasts for product requirements.
- Manage incoming material flow to insure inventory is maintained to the optimum level per established company parameters.
- Understand and evaluate suppliers' processes, capacities and overall business capabilities to identify and implement areas for improvement in cost, quantity, delivery and quality.
- Work within a team structure to achieve company and departmental goals.
- Manage materials savings initiatives in line with overall business objectives.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned to facilitate the overall operation of the department or company,

Analyze data
- Gather, prepare, analyze, and validate data, including but not limited to, sales history, POS data, customer inventory levels, and customer forecast.
- Maintain a database to store data
- Perform quantitative and statistical analysis of data to identify demand trends, drivers, etc.
- Manage the integration of externally provided data between various systems and portals.
- Obtain early warning data on potential inventory and shortage issues and monitor corrective actions as required.
- Analyze root causes of inventory problems and provide resolutions.

- Develop item-level and customer-level, when needed, forecasts based on Sales/Customer input, promotional calendars, historical patterns, and analysis of data.
- Create and upload forecasts on a monthly basis to be used by Sales and Planning Coordinators.
- Identify forecast risks and constraints.
- Determine and upload safety stock levels and EOQs.
- Measure and report forecast accuracy at customer, product category, and product level.

Working hours: Monday - Friday


--Bachelor's Degree Minimum
--2_ years experience in Demand Planning, Sourcing and Procurement environment with experience in the manufacturing or retail support industry preferred.
--Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook
--High level of analytical skills.
--Strong organizational and time management skills.
--Ability to function comfortably in both a tactical and strategic purchasing environments
--Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
--Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
--Ability to handle multiple tasks, with awareness of deadlines.
