The Development Assistant will provide administrative support to the development officers.
Provide staff support for development officers.
Assist in the management of prospect portfolios, record contact and follow-up.
Manage development officer travel.
Assist with cultivation and stewardship strategies.
Build and maintain relationships with fellow staff and ensure coordination of development strategies.
Manage calendars and coordinate meeting scheduling.
Produce portfolio reports and ad-hoc data reports as requested.
Edit and format proposals.
Assist with preparation and staffing for on-campus development events.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00a to 4:30p
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated written/oral communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment, sharing ideas and contributing to group projects.
Capacity to exercise discretion and confidentiality of constituent information and interactions.
Superior skills in Microsoft Office suite specifically high efficiency in data manipulation, mail merging, and document management; high typing speed; experience in database use; and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
Critical thinking and creative problem solving skills.
Highly organized, flexible, responsive, and able to balance the needs of multiple senior level professionals.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree with three years of professional administrative assistant experience
Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of successful professional experience
