Job Description

Responsible for guidance and compliance with SQF certification, administering company GMP and Safety policies within the department and with all contractors
Manage the business and operation aspects of an Industrial Maintenance Department
Manage department resources including shift managers, clerk, professional tradesmen, foremen, mechanics, and contracted support personnel to maximize utilization the Maintenance department
Evaluate department resources versus existing and future workloads and recommend adjustments as required
Manage and review overall performance of assigned employees to include job proficiency, adherence to company rules and policies, and professional development.
Coach/Train employees as to proper troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of plant systems
Manage, administer, and advance an existing CMMS including modules for Equipment, Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Inventory Management, Purchase Orders, Personnel and Vendor databases
Review the ongoing efficiencies of manufacturing, manufacturing support, and facility support systems; make recommendations and implement improvements as necessary
Utilize advanced knowledge of automated packaging machinery operation, troubleshooting and repair. Machinery to be supported will include but not be limited to: liquid filling; vertical form/fill/seal; capping; labeling; case packing; sealing; palletizing; bottle, case, pallet conveying; inkjet and laser coding; PLC logic and control; variable frequency drives; servos; robotics
Provide maintenance support as required to operations personnel of wastewater pretreatment plant
Utilize advanced knowledge of pump theory, operation and repair
Utilize advanced knowledge of pneumatic principles, application troubleshooting and repair

Skills:
Utilize advanced knowledge of hydraulic principles, application troubleshooting and repair
Utilize thorough knowledge of facility, property, and manufacturing support systems, including: power and lighting; steam; hot water; compressed air; irrigation; HVAC and refrigeration
Expert in working from and interpreting mechanical, electrical (power and controls), pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
Education and/or Experience

Bachelor Degree in related field preferred. 10 + years of relevant Manufacturing experience required.

Previous Plant Start-Up experience highly preferred
