Duties include recording of inbound and outbound equipment, monitoring scheduled versus actual equipment types, and using Feeder Scheduling System (FSS) reports to dispatch drivers. Other duties include key entering timecards and outside yard checks to ensure that the trailer positions matches the computer system.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Collect, verify, and key enter all pertinent information for the arrival and departure of expedited and local carriers. Error free information is mandatory and expected.
Pre-dispatch and dispatch drivers per standard practice and training.
Work in conjunction with other Feeder Departments and dispatches as required.
Work in conjunction with the assigned "runner" as a team to ensure timely departures of all loads.
Identify and resolve scheduling issues impacting service.
Assist with the physical lot and equipment audits when necessary. Prepare and complete reports in a timely fashion. This includes, but is not limited to,
Logging arrivals/departures in EPTS/FTS/HFCS
Regular lot audit reconciliation reports
Review, research, and close all route codes assigned to Indianapolis in EPTS/FTS
Working hours: Shifts vary FT/PT available
Overtime should be expected. Some jobs will involve working weekends. Days and start times are dependent on the respective job number selected.
Must be technologically oriented and able to navigate around UPS proprietary software
Experience with all Microsoft Office applications is a plus.
Must be functional in HFCS after basic training is completed.
Must be functional in TFCS after basic training is completed
Must be functional in IVIS after basic training is completed
Must be functional in EPTS & FTS after basic training is completed.
Must have excellent communications skills, a high degree of attention to detail, and be able to work in a self-directed fashion.
Must be proficient at multi-tasking, able to excel in a noisy fast-paced environment, and have a strong desire to contribute as a team member.
Must have the flexibility to accommodate modest schedule changes (1 to 2 hours) from week to week.
Able to commit to reporting to work on time every day without fail.
