Job Description

Fleet dispatcher track and manage drivers, assigning drivers routes, destinations, and timelines, as well as keep in touch with drivers who are on the road. Dispatchers interact with clients and drivers to keep up-to-date information on routes and schedules. Monitor driver?s schedules, keep track of substitute drivers, and assign them on routes when they are needed. They ensure that client and legal DOT obligations are met.

Responsibilities:
- Keep records, monitoring drivers' daily logs for errors or violations and monitoring their working hours and equipment availability.
- Keep tabs on the weather at all drivers' locations to be able to flag potential issues, typically with the aid of numerous computer programs.
- Serve as a reliable point of contact to balance drivers' health and safety with customer requirements.
- Coordinate and manage the most efficient loads to remain cost-effective as a company, combining shipments based on their routes and timeline to minimize how many trucks and drivers are out.
- Determine the best delivery methods and negotiate rates directly with vendors and customers.
- Answer phones and others phones when they?re not available
- Update system as information becomes available (Live)
- Prioritize time sensitive cargo
- Notify drivers of pick-up and delivery assignments
- Dispatch drivers for shipment pick-ups and deliveries
- Responsible to meet on-time performance
- Update shipment tracking system and maintain timely data integrity
- Attendance whenever needed and availability

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
- Knowledge of DOT and Safety Regulations
- Excellent customer service skills and telephone etiquette
- Effective listening and strong communication skills for interaction with drivers, customers, and Company staff
- Knowledge of Multi-state geography

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
- HSD or GED
- 2 - 5 Years of Experience in transportation or logistics field.
- Good manage and knowledge of Prophesy Dispatching Program
