Job Description

Spherion is looking for an established Transportation Company Dispatcher

Responsibilities:
Planning and organize the movement of the truck fleet efficiently for the Texas Sites
Coordinate and manage the schedules of truck drivers to ensure being delivered in a timely manner
Receive calls for truck services and contact their fleet of truck drivers to arrange the pickups and deliveries
Maintain contact with truck drivers throughout their routes
Monitor their progress and to troubleshoot any problems that may arise along the way
Assure the customer's needs are met.
Provides a wide variety of administrative support to one or more of the departments,.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Skills:
Knowledge of basic windows based personal computer operations.
Bilingual preferred but no required
Experience using Excel and email.
Ability to create and update reports.
Able to work under pressure and multi-task.
McLeod Software experience is a BIG PLUS.
Able and willing to work any necessary work schedule and on-call.
Familiar with DOT regulations.
Capability to build rapport with drivers.
Extremely organized and detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective under pressure, and flexible.
Must be coachable, have a desire to learn, and a desire to succeed.
Exceptional time management
Responsive and reliable with an ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
Able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment as well as work under time constraints with meticulous attention to detail.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience as a load planner/dispatcher in the crude oil, sand or petrochemical transportation industry.
Experience in logistics is a plus.
High School Graduate or equivalent required.
