Job Description

PURPOSE SUMMARY
- Responsible for processing participant distribution and loan requests and ensuring proper payouts are timely made.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive requests for participant distributions/loans and enter those requests into the DIP (Distribution-in-process) program.
- Verify participant eligibility for distribution type request.
- Prepare all necessary paperwork to mail to the participant and/or employer in response to the participant request.
- Perform quality control to verify that all applicable policies and legal requirements are adhered to with processing the request.
- VERIFY participant vesting to ensure the correct vested percentage is used for all payouts.
- Effective communication with employers, participants and investment provider employees by email, letter or telephone as required, to process the request.
- Tracks all completed work in WIP, Time tracker and APC Gold programs.
- Maintain satisfactory attendance.

AUXILIARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform/coordinate all tasks necessary to support any recommendations regarding any proposed changes related to the handling of participant distributions and loan.
- Research solutions to administrative and consulting questions.
- Other duties as assigned that may include backup in other departments.
- May need to meet offsite with clients at their offices.

Working hours: M-F 8 or 8:30 am start time

Skills:
KNOWLEDGE - SKILLS - ABILITIES
--Ability to pass the NIPA Distribution Administrators course within one year.
--Ability to concentrate; to be detail oriented and highly organized.
--Highly motivated, and independent requiring minimal supervision.
--Strong problem solving skills.
--Possess excellent verbal and written skills.
--Ability to speak, read, write and communicate effectively in English.
--Ability to interpret complex technical literature.
--Ability to research and propose accurate and detailed solutions to administrative and Operational questions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
--Bachelors Degree desired (preferably in Business Administration) or equivalent experience.
--One year (minimum) administrative/professional office experience which includes customer service (preferably in the banking/financial or insurance services field)
--Proficiency in MS Applications predominately MS Word and Excel.
--Must be able to type at least 35 WPM.

PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL CHARACTERISTICS
Work is performed primarily in an office environment and requires:
--Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time using a computer keyboard, mouse, and screen.
--Standing and walking may require twisting, reaching, bending, crouching and kneeling.
--Grasping, pushing, pulling, dragging and lifting boxes of files and other office items weighing 30 pounds or less.
--Mobility, vision, hearing and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties to be performed.
--Ability to independently travel off site and for distances over fifty miles.
