Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Early Childhood Instructor to start immediately at a local Hermantown preschool. This position is Monday-Friday with working hours between 8:00am - 5:30pm.

The Early Childhood Instructor is expected to have previous experience working with children and be teacher qualified. The Instructor will be leading the children in their assigned classes and it will be important for the instructor to be able to develop lesson plans in advance for approval and posting. The Instructor is the primary contact point and it is crucial the Instructor builds lasting and positive relationships with parents.

The Early Childhood Instructor will engage children in playtime, reading, art, recess, and during lunch as well. The Instructor will also lead children/parent conferences as well as participate in continued training.

Working hours: 8:00am-5:30pm

Qualifications and Requirements:
--Preferred 2-year degree or 1,040 hours as an assistant teacher, aide, or intern
--Preferred first Aid and CPR certified or training provided if necessary
--1-2+ years of experience with following age groups: Infant, Preschool, Toddler, Grade School (School age)
--1-2+ years of experience with Special Needs Care, Early Childhood Education, and/or Early Child Development
