Job Description

My client, a world class Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management Company is looking to add a key player to their team. This Electrical Design Engineer (PLC Programming) will provide technical support to their client onsite.

Responsibilities:
??? Establish design criteria, develop single line diagrams and control schematics (loop diagrams/elementary drawings).
??? Review manufacturer information to assure compliance with specifications.
??? Provide technical support to the construction management team and contractors.
??? Provide Commissioning and Startup support which includes, Yellow Lining of Drawing Package, Power Checks & System Validation.
??? Prepare design basis, work tender, best value options analysis, cost estimating, and input to project schedules.
??? Assist with machine safety reviews.
??? Prepare equipment specifications and inspect equipment upon arrival at the project site.
??? Provide client and team focused communication both written and verbal to ensure working relationships are fostered.
??? Provide cohesive and cooperative daily interactions with our extended work team.
??? PLC programming, Vision System Calibration & development of controls network.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
--Solid experience in manufacturing, process and utilities environments.
--Design experience for equipment and process power and control systems.
--Experience with programming programmable logic controllers (PLC's - Rockwell 500,5000, Mitsubishi)
--Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
--Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
--Systems Analysis - Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
--Capital cost estimating including engineering/design effort hour estimates.
--Proficient in designing with AutoCAD.
--Troubleshooting of high-speed manufacturing systems.
--PLC programing (Rockwell 500, 5000, and Mitsubishi).
--Proficient with Servo Drives - Allen Bradley Kinetix & Mitsubishi J4 Systems
--HMI Programming - Panel View Plus, Hakko

Education:
Bachelors

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
Bachelor???s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering
3+ years of Electrical Design Engineering experience within a large Manufacturing environment
