Job Description

Performs facility Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) work on all manufacturing equipment. Duties include installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of PLC's. Proactively maintains all plant electrical systems, all equipment electronics, motors, drives and other power transmission systems. This position also has the responsibility to perform any and all mechanical and electrical tasks as assigned. Must have previous working experience with PLC.

Position is full time. Working hours may be from 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM, or from 7:00 PM until 7:00 AM. Must be available to work on days, nights, and weekends.

- Perform the primary thinking encompassed by this job description
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures
- Posses the skill and ability to the top Maintenance position in the plant and perform all mechanical and electrical duties required
- Write advanced A/B PLC logic program
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC circuits
- Design and assemble control circuits and cabinets with user interface
- Analyze current machinery for PLC automation implementation
- Troubleshoot/program/specify motor drives
- Maintain and service plant switchgear
- Maintains a running log on barrel and screw inventory, changes, history and throughput
- Perform all manufacturing plant electrical and electronic diagnostics repair and installation, consistent with plant electricians
- Ability to determine when scope of job is beyond existing skill set or requires additional support
- Perform additional duties as assigned

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Must have previous experience with with PLC in order to be considered
Ability to keep up with a fast paced manufacturing environment
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without restriction
Must be able to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, reach, kneel, grasp, push, pull, and grasp.


1-4 years

Associates Degree in Electronics is preferred
PLC Training with 3+ years of practical electronics experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalence is required

Must be willing to submit to background check and drug screen
Must have proven job stability in order to be considered
